It's Over! Madison Defeats Reading
The Madison Millers earned their 2nd Round 2 title and now have all winter to spend basking in the glory, while the beaten Reading Roughnecks will have plenty of time to wonder what went wrong.

Madison became the Eastern League champion for 2025 with a 8-7 triumph to capture the series 4-1.

"Both clubs are talented. We just made fewer mistakes than they did," winning manager said to the press corps at the postgame press conference. "We made the crucial plays and got the timely hits."

Reading skipper agreed with that assessment, saying his club turned out to be "a little weak on fundamentals" at crucial times.

"I have a sneaking suspicion we will be working on fundamentals a lot next spring," he said.

On the way to the Round 2 championship, the Millers ended up in first place in the Eastern League Federal and compiled a 78-62 record during the regular season.
