The Houston Titans got a strong performance from pitcher Luis Castillo, who stymied the visiting Oakland Roses en route to a win, 5-0, in Game 2 of the Round 2. The Roses could never get a bead on the right-handed Castillo, who threw 6.2 innings of shutout ball. The Titans now hold a 2-0 in the best-of-5 series.

Castillo, who leaned on his fastball, allowed no runs on just 2 hits over 6.2 innings for the Titans. For the most part, Oakland hitters were simply overmatched.

"Every team in baseball loses," Roses manager Herb Pilgrim said. "We're in the playoffs and we still have the same guys that got us here. We'll bounce back."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Fan's Ballyard in Oakland.
