Raucous Coors Field Crowd Propels Bears to 4-2 Victory; Series Tied at 1
|
The Denver Bears took down the Boston Minutemen by the score of 4-2 and moved into a 1-1 tie in the CBA Wildcard Playoff. The largest share of the credit belongs to Denver starter Jon Gray, who threw 6.1 innings of shutout ball.
Mark Canha broke a 0-0 tie in the bottom of the second with a run-scoring ground out. It put the Bears in front, 1-0. For the game, Canha drove in one run.
"It takes a lot of things to win a ballgame," said Denver manager Aaron Hill. "It's usually not just one thing."
The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Coors Field in Denver.
