Luis Castillo, who finished 2nd in the FL in wins with 17 in 2023, had a strong outing for the Houston Titans against the Oakland Roses at Fan's Ballyard. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 4-3 win. Houston reliever Seranthony Dominguez was the winner. His record is now 5-1. Fernando Cruz took the loss. Orion Kerkering was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 28 of 33 save opportunities.
Braxton Fulford hit a run-scoring triple off Fernando Cruz in the top of the eighth, which put the Titans in front, 4-3. In addition to the triple, Fulford had 1 single and 1 walk, while going 2 for 3.
"It's nice to get the results when you're feeling good and throwing the ball well," said Castillo after the game.
Houston has now reeled off 6 straight wins.
