CBA Wildcard Playoff Game 1 Victory for Wheeler and Baltimore
|
The CBA Wildcard Playoff got off to a quiet start, with the host Baltimore Wildcats taking a low-scoring, 2-1 win over the Washington Hitmen. Baltimore right-hander Zack Wheeler was marvelous at Toyota Field. The Wildcats now hold a 1-0 lead in the best-of-3 series.
Wheeler, the Baltimore right-hander, went 8 innings, allowing 1 run on 3 hits. He collected 8 strikeouts.
"Thought I threw pretty well and overall I felt good," said Wheeler.
The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Toyota Field in Baltimore.
