Two good teams met in a late-season showdown.

Houston picked up a win at New League Park, bumping off the San Francisco Dragons, 7-1. Pitcher Luis Castillo was a major reason the Titans emerged victorious. With the win, Houston raised its record to 96-65.

Castillo overpowered the Dragons. The Houston right-hander allowed 1 hit over 8.2 innings, while recording 10 punchouts. With the win, he is 11-7 on the season.

"Luis was in tempo tonight," said Houston skipper Stephen Strzepek.
