Riptides Take Down Titans, 2-1

The Carolina Riptides got a magnificent performance from pitcher Dylan Cease, who muffled the Houston offense en route to a tight, 2-1 Riptides win at New League Park. Huascar Brazoban got the save, the 1st for him this season. The loss drops Houston to 22-10.
Who knows how it would've ended, had it not been for Logan O'Hoppe? The 25-year old catcher O'Hoppe stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put Carolina up, 2-1. For the game, he was 2 for 4, including 1 double and 1 single.
"The only difference is executing pitches and not executing pitches," said Cease. "When you don't execute, you get beat. When you execute, you usually give your team a chance to win."
