With Late Score, Millers Beat Minutemen
|
Zach Eflin, who finished 4th in the UL in innings pitched with 199.2 last year, had a strong outing for the Minnesota Millers against the Boston Minutemen at Fenway Park. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 4-3 win. The win elevated the Millers to 17-16.
Michael Conforto came through with a big-time hit for Minnesota. The left fielder smacked a 2-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to give his team the lead, 4-3. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.
"Zach was throwing strikes, locating well," said Minnesota manager Pierre Duschesnau.
