Dragons Send Boston Home with 8-6 Loss
The inspired effort of Boston third baseman Matt Chapman was not enough to prevent a loss, 8-6, to the San Francisco Dragons. Chapman was 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 doubles, while scoring 2 and driving in 4. The winner was San Francisco reliever Brandon Walter, now 4-0. The loser was Davis Martin. Mason Miller earned the save for San Francisco.

The game was at a stalemate until shortstop Kevin Parada came to bat in the bottom of the eighth. Facing Boston pitcher Davis Martin, he hit a full count curveball for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting San Francisco on top, 3-2.

"We'll take some time to unwind," said Parada, "and then get after the next one."

San Francisco now has a record of 20-14 with the win.
