Toronto Downs San Francisco, 4-2
|
Both teams had their opportunities, but in the end, the Toronto Hogs got the win.
The Toronto Hogs cut down the San Francisco Dragons by the score of 4-2, with the largest share of the credit going to left fielder Evan Carter. Carter went 2 for 3 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for the Hogs. Zach Pop zipped up his 1st save.
With Toronto trailing 1-0 in the bottom of the fourth, Carter hit a slider from Dustin May for a 3-run home run. It was his 2nd home run of the season and put the Hogs ahead, 3-1.
Carter said his team "played with focus."
Toronto is now 17-18. San Francisco is 20-15.
