PoorBoys Earn 4-3 Win Versus Bombers
|
The Bronx Bombers could not turn a fine performance from pitcher Carlos Rodon into a win. Instead, the Montreal PoorBoys prevailed, 4-3. Rodon threw 7.1 innings of 5-hit ball. The win puts Montreal at 14-22.
Hunter Goodman was the walk-off hero for Montreal. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the PoorBoys catcher hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"We made a couple of mistakes," said Bronx skipper Scott Gessford, "and it cost us."
