Minutemen Lose to Dragons, 4-2
|
San Francisco turned a good performance from starting pitcher Austin Gomber into a 4-2 triumph over the Boston Minutemen at Pac Bell Park. Mason Miller earned his 11th save, after closing out the game. San Francisco is now 21-14, Boston 13-22.
Ronald Acuna Jr. had a big run-scoring double for the Dragons in the bottom of the fifth inning. With San Francisco leading 3-2 and a runner on 2nd, he got a slider from 30-year old right-handed pitcher Drew Rasmussen and swatted a double to left-center. It was his 9th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Dragons ahead, 4-2.
"It was a good effort all around," said Acuna Jr..
