Texas wasted an exceptional performance by pitcher Yu Darvish, falling to the Seattle Sting, 4-2. Darvish threw 7.0 innings of shutout ball for the losing team. The save went to Josh Hader, his 5th this season. The win elevated the Sting to 20-15.
Corbin Carroll came through with a big-time hit for Seattle. The right fielder smacked a 2-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to give his team the lead, 4-2. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.
Carroll called the win the result of "everyone being in sync."
