Texas Beats Seattle, 4-3

Despite a great performance by Seattle catcher Jose Trevino, the Texas Vipers defeated the Sting by the score of 4-3 at Pepsi Dome. Trevino was 2 for 3 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Kris Bubic picked up the win, lifting his record to 1-4 on the season. He struck out 5 and walked 0 in 6.2 innings, while yielding 3 runs. The win has Texas at 10-26.
The Vipers got a big at-bat from center fielder Jackson Chourio. For the game, Chourio went 1-3 with a home run and was hit by a pitch. He scored 2 runs. In the bottom of the fifth, with the bases empty, he stroked a solo home run. His 9th home run of the season gave Texas a 4-3 lead.
Texas manager Pete Seto was pleased with the team's effort. "Our guys played hard, they played all the way through," he said.
