The San Francisco Dragons had to overcome a fine effort from Pittsburgh pitcher Miles Mikolas to win, 4-3, at PNC Park. Mikolas went 7 innings and allowed 3 runs. Robert Gasser picked up the win in relief. His record improves to 3-2. Ryne Stanek suffered the loss. Mason Miller nailed down the save.

San Francisco used the timely hitting of Ronald Acuna Jr. to seize the win. The right fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Dragons on top, 4-3. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"Our goal is to improve each and every day," Acuna Jr. told the San Francisco Chronicle.

San Francisco is now 22-15. Pittsburgh is 20-17.
