Detroit Sent Home with 7-0 Loss
|
The Detroit Demons had their hands full with Boston Minutemen starter Max Fried, who frustrated Detroit hitters while leading Boston to a comfortable, 7-0 win. The Minutemen now have a record of 14-23 with the win over Detroit.
The Minutemen got a big hit from second baseman Tommy Edman. Facing Detroit pitcher Joey Wentz in the top of the seventh, Edman pounded a 3-run home run to left-center. His 5th home run of the season put the Minutemen ahead, 7-0.
Said losing manager Marc Buffington: "The at-bats, obviously, needed to be better."
