The Boston Minutemen took Toronto pitcher Nick Lodolo's best shot and still were able to claim a win at Fenway Park. The final score had Boston getting past the Hogs, 3-2. Lodolo went 6 innings and allowed 2 runs, striking out 10. The victory gives Boston a record of 19-18.
The decisive blow was delivered by Jonah Heim in the bottom of the ninth when he hit a run-scoring double off 31-year old right-handed pitcher Joe Ross to win the game for Boston. The home crowd went nuts.
"It's nice to step up when your team needs you," said Heim.
