Laureano, Roses Sink Stars Again in Game 2
|
The Oakland Roses moved to within one game of the Round 3, downing the visiting Cincinnati Stars at Fan's Ballyard by a score of 6-4. Roses designated hitter Ramon Laureano did some major damage. He went 2 for 4 with a home run and a double, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. The win gives the Roses a 2-0 advantage in the best-of-5 Round 2.
There was more than one reason the Roses beat the Stars, but Laureano's big at-bat in the bottom of the first was an important factor. He staked his team to a 2-0 lead when he hit a 2-run home run.
"It was a good night for them and a bad night for us," said Cincinnati manager Pat Padula.
The next game is set to be played for Saturday, October 10th , 2026 at Great American Ball Park in Cincinnati.
