Titans Win at Washington, 6-4
|
Despite a fine performance by right fielder Rece Hinds, the Washington Hitmen lost to the Houston Titans, 6-4. Hinds went 2-4 with 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice. Orion Kerkering nailed down the save. Houston is now 25-13, while Washington is 17-21.
Houston needed the clutch hitting of Jared Young to seal the deal. The first baseman swatted a 2-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Titans on top, 6-4. For the game, Young had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"Good, blue-collar kind of win," said Titans manager Joe Smith.
