Minutemen Clip Dragons, 7-6, in R2 Contest
|
The Boston Minutemen and the San Francisco Dragons will take the Round 2 to a decisive 5th game. In a must-win situation, the Minutemen beat the Dragons, 7-6, at Fenway Park to force the series into what will essentially be a one-game playoff. Boston right fielder Anthony Santander was 2 for 4 with a triple. He scored 2 runs.
In the bottom of the second, Boston first baseman Kris Bryant had a productive at-bat. With runners on 1st and 3rd and two out, Bryant stroked a run-scoring single to left-center. It made the score 7-0, Boston. For the game, he went 1 for 3 with a walk.
"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Bryant. "And not try to do too much."
The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Pac Bell Park in San Francisco.
