Almost There: Tampa Bay On Cusp of R3 Triumph After 9-7 Win
When the games really matter, the Tampa Bay Bandits put on their best show, beating the Boston Minutemen by a final score of 9-7. Alek Thomas was 3-5 with a double and 2 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Tampa Bay now leads Boston 3-1 in the best-of-7 affair.

Tampa Bay used the clutch hitting of Heston Kjerstad to capture the win. The left fielder drilled a run-scoring double in the top of the 12th inning to give the Bandits the lead, 8-7. For the game, Kjerstad had 2 singles and 1 double in 6 at-bats.

"We got the victory," said Kjerstad. "That's all that matters at the end of the day."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Fenway Park in Boston.
