The San Diego Snakeyes picked up a win at Petco Park, taking down the Texas Vipers, 4-2. Starting pitcher Nick Pivetta was a big reason why. Pivetta picked up the win for San Diego, going 6.2 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 6 hits. He now sports a record of 3-2. Peter Fairbanks nailed down the save.

The Snakeyes got a big at-bat from designated hitter Vinnie Pasquantino. For the game, Pasquantino was 2-4 with 2 doubles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the sixth, with runners on 2nd and 3rd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 8th double of the season gave San Diego a 3-2 lead.
