The Chicago Explorers knocked off the Pittsburgh Ironmen, 8-5, at PNC Park. Jung-hoo Lee was a big reason Chicago won. The center fielder was 2 for 4 with a double and a walk. He scored 3 runs. Kyle Muller, the winning pitcher, improved to 3-4. He pitched 6 innings, giving up 8 hits and 3 runs, while striking out 4 and walking 2. Chicago goes to 68-70, Pittsburgh to 51-85.

Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Lane Thomas? The Chicago left fielder had a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the sixth inning to put the Explorers on top, 4-3. For the game, Thomas had 1 double and 1 single in 3 at-bats.

"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Thomas.
