With 5-4 Win, Hitmen Improve to 71-67
The Washington Hitmen beat the Boston Minutemen, 5-4. Washington pitcher and Bizen, Japan, native Yoshinobu Yamamoto led the way. The winner was Yamamoto. He threw 7.1 innings of 6-hit ball. The loser was Kyle Bradish. Nic Enright was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 26 of 29 save opportunities.

Rhys Hoskins, who won the CBA Rookie of the Year Award in 2018, helped out the Washington cause in the bottom of the sixth inning with a run-scoring single. For the game, the designated hitter was 1 for 4.

"It's the best feeling when you come through for your teammates," said Hoskins.

With the win, the Hitmen have a record of 71-67.
