Hogs Raise Rally Flag, Beat Carolina, 1-0

Fans watched the Toronto Hogs and the Carolina Riptides fight to the finish.
Kevin Gausman, who is tied for 4th in the UL with a 1.02 WHIP, propelled his team to victory over the Carolina Riptides. The final score was 1-0, Toronto. John King earned the win after being summoned from the bullpen. The left-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 1.2 innings. He upped his record to 3-2. Lou Trivino was credited with the save, his 4th in 7 tries.
Toronto took a 1-0 lead on Michael Harris II's 31st double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Harris II hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Carolina pitcher Jordan Montgomery visibly frustrated.
"I was a little disappointed," said Carolina manager Rob Hansen. "We could've and should've scored more runs."
The 4th-place Hogs are 61-78.
