Wright Now 7-7 After Beating Hitmen
|
The Baltimore Wildcats downed the Washington Hitmen, 4-1, at Toyota Field. Stellar pitching by Kyle Wright had a lot to do with it. The right-hander handcuffed his opponent all game. With the victory, the Wildcats upped their record to 77-65.
Wright was in the zone all game. He frustrated Washington hitters while giving the Wildcats 8 innings of quality work. Wright threw 93 pitches, allowing 4 hits and getting 7 punchouts.
Said losing manager John Anderson: "Obviously, we wished for a better outcome."
