Michael Wacha, who is tied for 2nd in the UL with a 0.98 WHIP, propelled his team to victory over the Cincinnati Stars. The final score was 7-2, Bronx. Wacha yielded 1 run over 7.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 3 hits, walked 1, and struck out 5. His record improves to 10-8. With the victory, the Bombers upped their record to 72-72.
Bronx used a clutch at-bat from Teoscar Hernandez to capture the win. The left fielder hammered a grand slam home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Bombers ahead, 4-1. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.
