Harper Hits 2 home runs in Vipers Win
The home crowd had a good time watching the Anaheim Diamonds and Texas Vipers get after it.

With right fielder Bryce Harper leading the charge, the Texas Vipers defeated the Anaheim Diamonds, 9-6, at Pepsi Dome. Harper, who finished 5th in the FL in slugging percentage with .514 in 2022, was 2 for 4 with 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice. Joe Mantiply, credited with the save, is now 4 for 4 in save opportunities.

With Texas leading 3-2 in the bottom of the second, Harper hit a changeup from Anthony DeSclafani for a 3-run home run. It was his 32nd home run of the season and put the Vipers ahead, 6-2.

"Feels good to get the job done," Harper said after the game.

The losing skid has reached 6 games for Anaheim.
