Riptides Earn Late Win
The umbrellas came out during the Carolina-Cincinnati contest at Great American Ball Park.

Carolina designated hitter Kyle Schwarber played a vital role in his team's 11-10 conquest of Cincinnati. He went 2 for 5 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 and driving in 3 for Carolina. Carolina reliever Phil Bickford was the winner. His record is now 4-2. The losing pitcher was Tylor Megill.

In the top of the eighth, the Riptides grabbed the lead when Schwarber hit his 43rd home run of the season. The 2-run home run off Tylor Megill made it 6-5, Carolina.

"Winning never gets dull," said Schwarber.

With the win, Carolina pushed its record to 84-68.
