The Montreal PoorBoys besoiled an otherwise fine performance by San Diego first baseman Josh Naylor by beating the Snakeyes, 6-4, at Big Donut Stadium. Naylor belted 2 home runs. Montreal pitcher Jose A Ferrer got the win, upping his record to 2-0. Dennis Santana got the loss. With the win over San Diego, the PoorBoys improved to 19-22.

Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic-born Junior Caminero came through in the clutch. In the bottom of the seventh, with runners on 2nd and 3rd and the PoorBoys trailing 4-3, he hit a 2-run single to left to put Montreal on top.

"We'll kick back tonight, then get set for the next one," Caminero said.
