Carolina starter Dylan Cease pitched well against the Minnesota Millers at IBM Field. The right-hander led his team to a win, 3-0, in 10 innings. Carolina reliever Gabe Speier snagged the win, upping his record to 1-1. Eduard Bazardo shouldered the loss. Carolina's winning streak has reached 5 games.

Carolina got a knockout punch from Juan Soto. The right fielder hammered a 3-run home run in the bottom of the tenth inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.

"I like what I saw today," said Carolina manager Rob Hansen, "and I can't wait to get back out there and do it again."
