The Pittsburgh Ironmen and New York Sharks played an exciting game.
The Pittsburgh Ironmen picked up a win at PNC Park, dropping the New York Sharks, 4-3. Miles Mikolas, who is tied for 5th in the UL in innings pitched with 198.0, was the difference-maker. Pittsburgh reliever David Robertson picked up the win, raising his record to 7-3. Kenley Jansen was tagged with the loss.
Gleyber Torres was the walk-off hero for Pittsburgh. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Ironmen pinch hitter hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"Miles is a tough competitor," said Pittsburgh manager Nick Smith.
The current losing streak for New York has reached 6 games.
