Lopez Neutralizes Explorers
|
Tampa Bay picked up a win at Tony Gwynn Memorial Field, bumping off the Chicago Explorers, 5-1. Pitcher Pablo Lopez was a major reason the Bandits emerged victorious. With the win, Tampa Bay upped its record to 26-19.
Chicago could barely put a dent in Lopez. The right-hander tossed 104 pitches over 7 innings for the Bandits, allowing only 2 hits.
"Pablo was good -- real good," said Bandits manager George Hoffman.
