Minnesota pitcher Sandy Alcantara had a large part in his team subduing the Philadelphia Phalanx, 3-2. The opposition could never mount much of a rally against the right-hander. Alcantara got the win, improving to 6-2. He gave up 8 hits and walked 0 over 5 innings. He allowed 2 runs. Today's win puts Minnesota at 22-24, while Philadelphia falls to 22-24.

Kyle Manzardo had a big run-scoring double for the Millers in the bottom of the first inning. With Minnesota leading 2-0 and a runner on 2nd, he got a fastball from 28-year old right-handed pitcher Logan Gilbert and swatted a double to right. It was his 2nd double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Millers ahead, 3-0.

"If you ever get this game figured out," said Philadelphia manager Stephen Esterhazy, "let me know."
