The Houston Titans locked up a win at New League Park, knocking off the St Louis Sluggers, 4-3. On the mound for Houston was right-hander Luis Castillo. He played a major role in the triumph. In 6.1 innings, Castillo surrendered 6 hits, while striking out 2 and walking 1. He allowed 3 runs. The Titans lead the Union League Central Division by 5½ games.

The Titans got a big at-bat from catcher Connor Wong. For the game, Wong went 2-3 with a double, while adding 3 RBI. In the bottom of the sixth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 1st double of the season gave Houston a 4-3 lead.

After the game, Houston manager Joe Smith applauded the team's effort. "They busted their tails out there," he said.
