Schneider Hits 2 home runs in Vipers Win
|
Davis Schneider led the Texas Vipers to a nifty 5-2 win over the San Francisco Dragons. The Texas second baseman was a force of nature. He banged out 3 extra-base hits, including 2 home runs and 1 double. Jorge Alcala closed out the game, earning his 1st save. Texas is now 21-26, San Francisco 29-18.
Schneider had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the eighth. On a 2-1 fastball from Austin Gomber, he banged a 3-run home run to right-center, giving the Vipers a 5-2 lead. It was the 3rd home run of the year for Schneider.
"I was seeing the ball well tonight," said Schneider.
