Minutemen Handle Chicago, Snag 5-2 Win
|
The Boston Minutemen picked up a win at Baron's Ballyard, knocking off the Chicago Explorers, 5-2. Starting pitcher Hunter Brown was a big reason why. Drew Rasmussen picked up the save, his 10th. The Minutemen improved their record to 25-23 with the win over Chicago.
Boston first baseman D.J. LeMahieu delivered a 3-run home run in the top of the second. Overall, he went 3 for 4, picking up 1 home run, 1 single, and 1 double. He scored 1 run and knocked in 3.
Said losing manager Rock Carpenter: "Give the Minutemen credit. They played a better game than we did."
