Carolina Trades Banks to Portland for Hernandez Thursday, June 26th , 2025 The Riptides and Jaguars confirmed this afternoon that a trade had been agreed upon. In the deal, Carolina will get 28-year old RHP Daysbel Hernandez, while Portland will receive 33-year old LHP Tanner Banks and 30-year old minor league RHP Miguel Castro. This season, Banks has picked up no saves and posted a 2-0 record with a 3.63 ERA. He has 11 relief appearances, tossed 17.1 innings and struck out 23. Hernandez has compiled an ERA of 2.36 so far this season, winning 0 games with no losses and no saves. In 35 relief appearances he has hurled 34.1 innings, yielded 28 hits and struck out 40.
