Phoenix Shortstop Hurt Thursday, June 26th , 2025 A blow for Matt McLain today -- team doctors confirmed he will miss 7 months with a concussion. McLain suffered the injury colliding with a player at a base. Although officials from the Phoenix Firebirds are confident he'll make a full recovery, doubts will persist about McLain's ability to return fully fit with an injury of this nature. McLain is hitting .288 for the season with 17 home runs, 58 RBIs and 49 runs scored. He has 81 hits in 281 at-bats and played in 71 games. |
