San Francisco Starter Wins June's Pitcher Award Tuesday, July 1st , 2025 This month when the San Francisco manager wrote the name "Valdez" on the lineup card, he was confident that he would get a good start out of him. Outing after outing in June Framber Valdez took command and usually got the win. He dominated with a 4-1 mark and 2.33 ERA in 6 starts, piling up 38.2 innings and 41 strikeouts and holding opposing teams to a .203 average. For his superb performance Valdez was named the Federal League Pitcher of the Month by the baseball writers. To date this year, Valdez has compiled a 9-4 mark with a 4.15 ERA in 16 starts. |
