Player of the Week: St Louis's Candelario Monday, July 14th , 2025 St Louis fans have something to crow about today as St Louis third baseman Jeimer Candelario nabbed the Federal League Player of the Week Award for his performance over the last seven days. "I know there are times when it's hard to lay off pitches. Everyone goes through stretches when he's too eager to put the ball in play. You know, though, I feel like this past week I was able to get in the right frame of mind and just let things come naturally," said Candelario. He posted a .522 average (12-for-23) this past week with 3 home runs, 8 RBIs, and 6 runs scored. In 86 games Candelario is hitting .263 this season with 84 hits, 14 home runs, 36 RBIs, 23 walks, .319 OBP and has scored 39 runs. |
