Cincinnati, Portland Agree to Deal Tuesday, July 15th , 2025 You can focus on the negatives after being traded to a new team -- finding a new place to stay, leaving teammates and friends, having to start anew -- but one player hopes to focus on the positives. "It means I'm wanted somewhere. At least one team sees potential in me." Those were the comments heard after the Cincinnati Stars came to an agreement to deal 26-year old LF Garrett Mitchell, 23-year old minor league SS Colson Montgomery, 22-year old minor league 2B Travis Bazzana, and 19-year old minor league C Ethan Salas to the Portland Jaguars for 24-year old CF Julio Rodriguez and 22-year old minor league SS Dyan Jorge earlier today. The deal is expected to be formally announced later this evening. Currently Rodriguez is hitting .319 and has collected 18 home runs, 63 RBIs and scored 57 times, while playing in 88 games. |
