Chicago-Portland Deal Confirmed Tuesday, July 15th , 2025 It's all done except the paperwork. The Chicago Explorers and the Portland Jaguars have agreed to a trade that will send 37-year old LF J.D. Martinez and 24-year old minor league RHP Thomas Harrington to Portland, while 24-year old minor league 2B Jace Jung will be shipped to Chicago. A top front office executive with the Explorers described the trade talks as "quick and easy." "We're glad to get this deal done. We think it's something that helps our ball club and it didn't take too long at all to sort this one out," he said. This year, Martinez has 13 home runs and a .254 batting average. |
