Hitmen-Stars Swap: Akin for Quero Friday, August 1st , 2025 A trade was announced today at a press conference in Washington. Not satisfied with their current roster, the Washington Hitmen general manager shook things up by acquiring 23-year old minor league 3B Orelvis Martinez, 24-year old minor league CF Drew Gilbert, 22-year old minor league C Edgar Quero, and 24-year old minor league LHP Hunter Barco from the Cincinnati Stars for 30-year old LHP Keegan Akin and 32-year old RHP Kodai Senga. "We're a better team now," Hitmen general manager John Anderson said. "We've added several pieces to the puzzle." For the season, his stats show Akin has no saves in 48 relief appearances with a 2-2 record and 4.36 ERA. |
