Free-for-All Costs Meyers and Szapucki 4-Game Suspensions Saturday, August 2nd , 2025 It was an intense fight, so Jake Meyers and Thomas Szapucki were both suspended today for 4 games for their part in a brawl which happened in a game between the Washington Hitmen and the San Diego Snakeyes at RFK Stadium. Meyers said, "Luckily nobody was hurt. I think we both overreacted to the situation." In 100 games this season, Meyers has compiled a .248 batting average with 83 hits and 10 home runs. He has also scored 40 times and knocked in 41 runs. For the season, Szapucki has 4 saves, tossed 48.1 innings, fanned 53 batters and produced an ERA of 3.54.
