Red-Hot Loperfido Scorches Bulldogs Saturday, August 2nd , 2025 It was a parade of hits for Joey Loperfido of the Texas Vipers at Eddie Matthews Stadium. Connecting almost every time he went to the plate, Loperfido finished the day with a total of 5 hits in 7 at-bats. His strong individual effort propelled the Vipers to a win, 9-8. "Loperfido was really good and we were really bad," groaned Bulldogs manager Kevin Clawson. "Next time he's that hot, we'll just walk him." Joey Loperfido doubled in the 2nd, struck out in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 7th, singled in the 8th, singled in the 10th, singled in the 12th and flied out in the 13th.
