Keston Hiura Injured, Out for Season
Saturday, August 9th , 2025
Washington first baseman Keston Hiura could miss the remainder of the season because of a torn back muscle. He exited yesterday's Houston game after injuring himself while running the bases. The original diagnosis said Hiura would be out 4-5 months. Later on his doctors said he could be out even longer. "He's done," his manager commented at the BNN press conference. "It's a season-ending injury, but it could have been worse. It's not the worst-case scenario, so we're happy about that."
Hiura on the season is batting .236 with 19 home runs. His totals include 42 RBIs and 43 runs scored. He has played in 81 games.
