Big Day with Bat: Perkins 6-for-7 Sunday, August 31st , 2025 It was a good day for the Sharks at Shark Stadium as they clipped the Detroit Demons, 16-13. It was tremendous day for Blake Perkins, who was on a hitting barrage at the plate, finishing 6-for-7. "I don't know what to call that," the New York center fielder told reporters after his big performance. "I'm not 'dialed in' or 'in a zone,' I just try to keep it simple. Basically the pitcher throws the ball, I try to pick up the spin, then I hit it. Today I picked up the spin pretty well." Blake Perkins grounded out in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, walked in the 5th, singled in the 8th, walked in the 9th, singled in the 11th, hit a three-run double in the 13th, doubled in the 16th, singled in the 17th and grounded out in the 20th. So far this season, Perkins is batting .341 with no home runs, 5 RBIs and 5 runs scored. He has 15 hits in 44 at-bats, 3 walks and a .383 OBP. Perkins has played in 28 games.
