Edwards Hit Streak Reaches 25 Games
Saturday, September 6th , 2025
Xavier Edwards continued his streak at Chrysler Canyon, even as the ballgame did not go his way. The Cincinnati third baseman was 1-for-5 in today's contest and now has hit safely in his last 25 games. The Stars were not as fortunate, losing, 6-3, to the Portland Jaguars.
"Edwards was hitting everything we threw at him," said Portland manager Darren Meserve. "He is a tough out. Fortunately, things went our way in the ballgame and we came away with a win." Xavier Edwards grounded out in the 1st, struck out in the 3rd, tripled in the 6th, flied out in the 7th and grounded out in the 9th.
This year, Edwards is hitting .297 with 4 home runs and 53 RBIs in 130 games played. He also boasts an OBP of .350 with 42 walks and 77 runs scored.
