Goldschmidt Reaches 2000 Monday, September 8th , 2025 The day belonged to Paul Goldschmidt of the Detroit Demons as he became the latest player to reach the 2000-hit plateau. He did it in Detroit's 6-4 win over Denver. "It's a moment I'll never forget," said Goldschmidt after the game. "2000 hits is a lot. It puts you in a very select group.
